Supes getting the shit kicked out of him reminded me of gay-bashing incidents I’ve read about. Here you have this beautiful, fragile, helpless, otherworldly creature getting dragged through the harsh reality of baser men who gleefully rip the wings off of the butterfly so to speak.
I was wondering whether Superman’s kid wasn’t gay. And the actor playing Perry White made me think of Ian McKellan’s character.
