Miller for Best Actress
I’m no longer the only guy advocating the Best Actress candidacy of Factory Girl‘s Sienna Miller, and breathing easier. Rolling Stone critic Peter Travers, another “Envelope” forecaster, has put Miller on his own list. I’m not sure, though, if he’s actually seen her in Factory Girl or if he’s just riding the tailwind.
We all know she wouldn`t have a chance against this years top contender Kirsten Dunst in MARIE ANTOINETTE.
Wells to Selig: I’m not falling for that.
Oh, go on Jeff.
I’m absolutely dying to see Factory Girl now. I’ve always assumed Sienna was just a pretty girl hitching on Jude’s coat-tails. You’ve instantly changed my mind just by writing about this flick.
I love Sienna Miller and I think she’s a great actress (you heard that right)… but I still think it’s too early to tell until someone actually sees the movie. One also has to remember that Miller is a very new face and British, which means she doesn’t have the sort of friendships, sway in Hollywood to actually pull it off (then again, the actresses from Whale Rider and Maria Full of Grace didn’t either). I’m with Kirsten Dunst getting the nomination.
BTW, it’s really nice that for the first time in three years, it’s the actress race that is heating up with more possibilities than slots…last two years it’s been all about the actors.
The twelve of us who saw CASANOVA already knew she’s a fine actress. (And she wasn’t bad on that short-lived Fox series, FAST EDDIE, either.)
Oscar nomination for Sienna Miller ??? NO WAY
I’m sorry but I still remember Sienna Miller, after last year’s Academy Awards, trying to have public sex with Sean Penn at the bar of the Chateau Marmont Hotel on Sunset Strip, in full view of hundreds of Hollywood producers, directors, and other moguls.
In “Factory Girl” Sienna Miller attempts to portray Edie Sedgwick, who was a real life muse of PITTSBURGH’S Andy Warhol.
After Sienna Miller’s RECENT crude comments and bizarre DIVA behavior in Pittsburgh during the filming of “The Mysteries of Pittsburgh”, do you really think that the hundreds of producers, directors, actors and writers in Hollywood that were either born in Pittsburgh or attended College in Pittsburgh would ever vote for the idiot Sienna Miller ???
Harvey & Bob Weinstein, save your money instead of wasting it on a Sienna Miller campaign.
