  1. Okay, I love Casablanca – it may be pure hyperbole to say it’s one of the best films ever, but it’s the truth.
    The Good German is making a mighty big statement with a poster like that.
    I may have to search that poster down via ebay though. It looks beautiful.

    Check out the poster for Spike Lee’s Clockers, and then the one Saul Bass did for Anatomy of a Murder…
    Funny, the one thing I was going to say seemed out of character was that The Good German had all those little heads of supporting cast members– atypical for the time period, but I guess not completely unprecedented back then when a movie had a cast full of interesting folks with drawing power of their own.

  5. Well, then I guess it’s not a coincidence that the guy in the lower left corner of the Good German poster looks a lot like Conrad Veidt in Casablanca.
