Whitaker wins!

Reese Witherspoon steps out to present the Oscar for Best Actor. It would be gracious and divine if Peter O’Toole could upset and win. If only…if only, man. And the Oscar goes to Forest Whitaker for The Last King of Scotland. Fine. It’s okay. And he’s stammering again. And now he’s got his groove on. Forest is better than okay. “Into the next lifetime!”

  1. I REALLY wanted a Gosling upset ala Brody.

Still, I’m happy for Whitaker. He’s a solid actor, and this is well deserved.

  2. …as I said in another post, they need to split the ‘best performance in a leading role’ category into ‘best original performance’ and ‘best performance adapted from persons living or dead’ awards, just like the ‘best original’ vs. ‘best adapted’ screenplay awards. Two more awards for impersonations…quite uninspiring.
