YouTube “Chevalier”
Why didn’t the guy who posted this YouTube version of Hotel Chevalier run the whole thing? The short is 13 minutes, and this is only 9 minutes and 35 seconds. It went up eight hours ago and hasn’t been taken down…yet. But it should be. Because it arbitrarily edits.
I haven’t uploaded anything to YouTube in ages but doesn’t it have a length limit to uploads that 13 minutes would exceed?
You can apply for a “Director’s” account (free and easy to get), and upload films of any length provided that it is under 100 MB.
Those poor people watching this new cut likley have no idea what’s going on when room service enters. And they miss the line about how to say grilled cheese in french.
The only better line in cinema history is “how do you say banana daquiri in Spanish?”
“Banana daquiri.”
That might explain the edits, I think the iTunes version was 150 MB.
BTW – I shouldn’t be so flippant. it actually is a good line about grilled cheese, and an subtle wink to his uncle.
Grilled cheese in French? Isn’t that Croque Monsieur? Or is it Cheese Royale?
Agreed, it should come down unless they can put up the whole thing. Not to get picky, but they lobbed off the front and took off a chunk at the end of the endcredit roll. I challenge anyone who thinks the poster had the ability or the interest in making internal cuts.
Considering they title it “Natalie Portman nude in Hotel Chevalier”, it’s pretty clear they’re not too worried about artistic or cinematic integrity.
Not that I don’t enjoy seeing Ms. Portman’s bum, I’m just saying. With stuff like this, is it any wonder people like Natalie are reluctant to take one for the team in the name of art?
