A tribute to the late Sydney Pollack by Bill Horberg, who worked for him a long time at Mirage, on Anne Thompson's site. And here, finally, are those Husbands and Wives clips I was looking for before.

good stuff! I enjoyed Pollack as an actor as much as a director

I've always thought Pollack was masterful in this role - like he was born to play it. He's that good. Instead of reciting lines like many other actors in recent Allen films, he inhabits, he breathes. God damn I'm pissed he's dead.

Great actor and director, thanks Sydney. I can't believe I've never seen this film. I especially loved the camera work.
