  1. [The writer of this post, EOTW, has been banned for throwing a slur term in my direction. The upside is that one more angry belligerent bigmouth has been cut loose. HE will eventually be a dickweed-free site as far as commenters are concerned. Step by step, day by day.]

  2. I see the McCain resemblance but not the Palin. Have you even read her Bio? Not all pretty women are complete bimbos like they are portrayed in the movies.

  3. “HE will eventually be a dickweed-free site as far as commenters are concerned. Step by step, day by day.”
And then the comet will come and take you all to Obamahalla.

  4. We’ll miss his wit and insight. And we’d miss Ren-fielding too, if a two-ton weight fell on his head.
Here’s an idea: use of the following phrases automatically qualifies the poster as a troll:
“Democrat Party” — speaks for itself
“You libs.” When you see this one, you can write the rest of the post yourself. Or just scroll past it.
When I see either of those, I know I’m in the presence of utter nuttiness — or total trolliness.
Then there’s that old favorite: “I’m not even a Republican. I’m a Libertarian Independent Nixon-Liberal hemophiliac three-toed sphinx. But–” followed by an attack on anything done by Democrats and a defense of all things Republican. The lipstick isn’t fooling anyone, guys. We can see your snouts and curly tails.
There will be cries of “liberal censorship.” But you know, Wells doesn’t post reviews of Che and Milk on Freerepublic, and if he did (or if he said anything remotely positive about Obama) he’d be zapped within seconds.
Seriously, isn’t there a movie corner on Little Green Footballs? Or as Will Graham said: I’m sick of you crazy sons of bitches.

  5. EOTW,
I’ll save a space for you under my bridge tonight.
Wells, is having posters living in fear really that great of an idea? Seriously. Think about it.

  6. “HE will eventually be a dickweed-free site as far as commenters are concerned. Step by step, day by day.”

And then the comet will come and take you all to Obamahalla.

  7. Wells, is having posters living in fear really that great of an idea?

Yes, yes it is. Because these posters ain’t thinkin’. They’re too busy being smart alecks to be thinkin’. Now Jeffrey wans us to think and stop bein’ smart alecks.

So, let’s just say he’s driving this buggy. And, if you fix your attitude, you can ride along.

  8. I’m not a Republican (or an American, or a human) I consider myself an Independent, I would’ve voted for a Paul/Kucinich ticket in a second, but this is SEXIST and AGEIST!!!!!!!!!

  9. “Well, I don’t know Governor Palin, I have not met her before. I had a brief conversation with her after she was selected to congratulate her and wish her luck – but, not too much luck! – on the campaign trial. And she seems to have a compelling life story. Obviously, she’s a fine mother and a up-and-coming public servant. So, it’s too early for me to gauge what kind of running mate she’ll be.
“My sense is that she subscribes to John McCain’s agenda. And ultimately, this [election] is going to be about where I want to take the country and where Joe Biden wants to take the country, and where John McCain and his running mate want to take the country.” – Barack Obama on 60 Minutes
How come Obama’s supporters don’t display the same class and dignity as their candidate?

  10. Thanks for the chuckle…I’m not sure about the choice of Palin. She definately appeals to the right, but I find it hard to believe the Hillary lovers will flock to her, because of her obvious conservatism. Considering McCain’s age and his apparent lapses, she’s an even curiouser choice for VP.

  11. ” If liberty means anything at all, it means the right to tell people what they do not want to hear. ”
How far we’ve come as a society when the very concept of free speech has been perverted to apply only to those in line with a particular groups views.

  12. This is a smart blog. I mean it. You have so much knowledge about this issue, and so much passion. You also know how to make people rally behind it, obviously from the responses.
