The idea of Nicolas Cage as Randy makes my brain explode. I remember thinking it sounded like an odd fit even just when I was reading about it way back when. Nic has a lot farther to fall before he has a role like that in him, and it's going to be some director telling him to stop making crap that makes him a lot of money.
