Roland Emmerich is a total hack. But in the group of hacks, which includes Bay, Sommers, Cohen, Ratner, and a few more, I don't think he's the worst. But what is his deal and disaster pics? Does he have this secret desire to see the Earth be destroyed? ID4, Day After Tomorrow, and now 2012 all showing the Earth on the brink of total destruction. And of those 3, 2012, by far, looks the shittiest.

I don't know if that's a money shot that should be on a poster. It looks striking in action, but in repose you have a chance to notice the crack lines are way too straight and what's happening doesn't make a tremendous amount of sense. I probably would have gone with the carrier looming towards the White House, or Cusack's head getting increasingly bigger.
