Here's a British-made short (directed by Richard Curtis, starring Bill Nighy) pushing the idea of a Robin Hood banker's tax. Good thinking, should be enacted here.
Nighy's sterling, as usual. I think he makes actual eye contact with the interviewer about 3 times during the whole piece.
The tax is an interesting idea, but does anyone believe the banks wouldn't simply find some way to pass the costs on to their customers? So it would end up being just another tax on the people it would supposedly benefit. Robin Hood robbed primarily from tax collectors, you know.
I'm really surprised that a tax on all stock exchanges hasn't really gained any traction. It wouldn't take much to generate a good portion of the funds needed to cover the stimulus. A crazy idea of paying your own way. Or a 100% tax on luxury boats because only assholes buy yachts.
"Or a 100% tax on luxury boats because only assholes buy yachts."
We actually tried that back in the '90s. And you'll never guess what happened: those rich assholes stopped buying yachts and everyone who worked for yacht manufacturers lost their jobs.
And more lost jobs are EXACTLY what the economy needs now...
This post will definitely help readers like me.Bcoz it's a very good post. Thanks for sharing such a great article with us.Keep blogging. residence isola d'elba
I am truly pleasantly surprised than a levy about almost all investment trades has not truly gathered virtually any traction. The idea would consider considerably to create an excellent piece in the finances required to protect that government. ANY nuts prospect of spending your special approach. As well as any 100% levy about high end watercraft due to the fact simply assholes obtain yachts.
Most people truly attempted which the government financial aid that '90s. And you will probably in no way there's more transpired: all those abundant assholes ended acquiring yachts in addition to all people which did wonders with regard to boat brands displaced its careers.
If only the whole world had the courage and the action to step out and help each other, there may not be the problems we face today.cockapoo dogs are generally very healthful and robust small dogs.

Snow Patrol & Climate change obsession, two reasons the UK will never be great again. A good idea though.

I'd only be happy if Republicans and Dems INO who voted for Bush economic policies during his two terms also get taxed hard.
