Don’t Ask
Is there an embed code for this webcast of Al Pacino talking to Katie Couric on 60 Minutes “about his films and how he prepares for them, including his upcoming movie in which he stars as Dr. Jack Kevorkian in You Don’t Know Jack“? Yes, it turns out.
Why do you seem to think that you’re entitled to all web content for free? (recently: the New Republic Beatty article, this)
Did you not want comments relating to the actual interview, or any of his other anecdotes not featured on last week’s show? Because I think if you did you would have embedded the interview from YouTube, like you do most for many if not most linked videos.
You can’t cut and paste EVERYTHING. Surely one who relies on blog ads must appreciate that, no?
Pacino was monumental in that film.
When he cares, and is committed, he’s as great an actor as America has ever produced.
I don’t have an embed code, but what you could do is google any Al Pacino interview ever given. It will almost certainly have more depth. He tells the same “I thought I was going to be fired” story about ‘The Godfather’, the same “I love Shakespeare” anecdotes. He doesn’t even talk for one second about ‘The Insider’, the movie where he plays a ’60 Minutes’ producer. It’s the most generic interview ever. You could imagine everything he says and get it more interesting.
Total fluff piece.
Here it is, Jeff: Watch CBS News Videos Online
Ok, trying again. You’ll need to add an opening and closing “embed” code to surround the following: src=’http://cnettv.cnet.com/av/video/cbsnews/atlantis2/player-dest.swf’ FlashVars=’linkUrl=http://www.cbsnews.com/video/watch/?id=6408478n&tag=contentMain;contentAux&releaseURL=http://cnettv.cnet.com/av/video/cbsnews/atlantis2/player-dest.swf&videoId=50086432&partner=news&vert=News&si=254&autoPlayVid=false&name=cbsPlayer&allowScriptAccess=always&wmode=transparent&embedded=y&scale=noscale&rv=n&salign=tl’ allowFullScreen=’true’ width=’425′ height=’324′ type=’application/x-shockwave-flash’ pluginspage=’http://www.macromedia.com/go/getflashplayer’>
DAMN IT!! You can grab it here: http://sliated.com/embed.htm
Thank you, Pudge72.
My favourite Al Pacino interview is from one of those monthy features in GQ or Esquire (I can’t remember which – as a female in her 20s I’m hardly the market for these mags) in which the subject tells random anecdotes about his life. It was reprinted in an Australian newspaper, and I showed it to a fans of his and they all loved it.
