Decent Shot

“Has anybody been watching the debates lately? You’ve got a governor whose state is on fire denying climate change. It’s true. You’ve got audiences cheering at the prospect of somebody dying because they don’t have healthcare. And booing a service member in Iraq because they’re gay. That’s not reflective of who we are.” — President Barack Obama speaking last night at a Bay Area fundraiser.

  1. Mr. F, I live in North Carolina, Raleigh area, and over here, we relate to S.C. as a Third World country. Those responses about Obama just seems to confirm our opinion.

  2. People keep bringing up Obama’s 40% approval rating like it wasn’t over 20% better than Congress’ rating.

Granted, Congress won’t be directly correlated to a Republican presidential candidate, but still…

  3. Kakihara, I knew this awhile ago. I mean, the state house grounds still fly the Confederate flag.

Everyone down here knows if you cut off Charleston from the state, no one would miss South Carolina AT ALL.

  4. I really don’t know why they say he’s “socialist”. Because by any measure of the standards of 90% of democracies on earth, he (and the Democratic party) are of more of the centre-right than the centre-left. Using taxes to decrease national debt and to pay for paved roads and school buses and the wages of the municipal police doesn’t make him the bastion of Engels.

  5. So Obama is saying that global warming is responsible for the fires in Texas? Talk about being anti-science.

And the debate crowd did not cheer a young man dying, what they cheered, if anyone bothered to pay attention, was the notion that we ourselves are responsible for the choices we make.

And as far as booing a gay service member goes, seems Obama is still living in fantasy land. A few dolts booed, and the rest of the crowd shushed the idiots. There are various accounts from people who attended that this is the case.

As usual, Obama just makes shit up. Actually, he just parrots the shit Left wing extremists make up. Either way, he is a buffoon.

Well, the place *is* going through record-breaking temperatures, even now, so…

“the notion that we ourselves are responsible for the choices we make.”

So they’re still cheering choosing to let someone die.

“A few dolts booed, and the rest of the crowd shushed the idiots.”

Yeah, but they weren’t kicked out or criticized by any of the candidates.

  8. I know Bukowski, such an idiot that you can’t even refute one thing in my post.

Surely it should be easy for you, considering how “intellumagent” you are.
