  1. Reference is made to In Contention at the very top of HitFix – on the blue ‘line’ (at least I hope it’s blue … I’m kind of colour blind when it comes to blue/purple), as one of five blogs available on the site. So, really, In Contention is quite easy to spot.

Kris, Guy and Gerard’s move to HitFix works at least in part, if only for the readier, more easily accessed smartphone facility Kris’ new employer provides (and, of course, for the In Contention gang, the prospect of a steadier focus on stories over having to bring in the cash required to operate the site).

Otherwise, you and Sasha are right, HitFix is kind of ‘busy’ (although I’m not so sure I’m as turned off by the orange on the site as you are).

  2. I know there’s an In Contention link sitting at the top of the page in microscopic 4-point type, but to me the site is still buried in a cave inside a vast network of caves and rabbit holes and underground-tunnel excursions that is Hitfix.

  3. Greatly appreciate your words of support, Jeff — we trust that people will get used to the new digs soon enough. One of many upsides to the move, of course, is that we’re now visible to many HitFix readers that may not have been aware of our site before, so I guess it all comes out in the wash.

Anyway, business as usual at the site, wherever it resides. Thrilled to have your readership.

  4. Guy Lodge is the shit – I read his stuff in a very articulate, very clean South African/British accent for full effect…

Not a huge fan of the HitFix move (it’s been a bit dead this past week) but I’m hoping to get used to it, too much good material there to ignore.
