I’m in Chicago and it lhasn’t hit us yet, but what’s the point if you don’t have an end goal? Just a bunch of people holding signs and marching. What do they expect to get from all this? For one, they should have tables up where people can register to vote.
I guess this is homage to the Wisconsin movement against Scott Walker — occupying a street or a state house, but at least those folks had an end goal. What can these NYers do? It makes for good TV for sure.

The only Wall Street protest I’ve ever felt strongly enough to participate in was last year, when I picketed outside of WALL STREET 2: MONEY NEVER SLEEPS. I figured there would be a bunch of people there with me on opening night… but I was the only one. Still, I like to think my evening of protesting had something to do with the weaker than expected box office.

For all the doubters on this post I got news for you…this will spread as long as we have 9.1 percent unemployment. You have veterans from Iraq coming home jobless. College grads only options are 2 year unpaid internships. Banks charging hidden fees. Tax breaks for the top one percent. And a housing crisis still unsolved. The protests are small and you have the hippy element making a show of it with cliche ridden exhibition practices, but the pain is real and slowly building.
Good timing for Citibank and BofA to announce they’ll now be charging monthly fees for the “privilege” of using their debit cards.
These protesting scum are just as clueless, confused, and intellectually bankrupt as the Tea Party rubes.
