The trailer for YOUNG ADULT was ahead of my screening of THE DESCENDENTS last night and it just occurred to me that it’s surprising Fox Searchlight has over-reacted to the murder-suicide thing in North Carolina where the woman shot her now married ex-flame and then killed her own family/herself.
Wonder if the Thanksgiving/Black Friday news helped Searchlight avoid what would have surely been an angle to the story in a slow news period.

That Fox Searchlight Cinemascope opening sticks with you, what can I say. And soon as I saw your correction I remembered the Paramount logo.
Terrible trailer, BTW. It was green band, so I’m hoping that the best lines are too red band to include.
