That’s because you don’t actually care about politics, Jeff. You don’t seem to care at all about actual policies or progressive ideas or social theory. You just get off on the tribalism of it. Once upon a time you signed up for the Blue team, and now nothing gets you tumescent like spitting venom and shallow indignation at the Red team. You like the first part of this Carlin bit because you think he’s just attacking the team you don’t like, but of course the bit is actually about how both teams consist of the same lying, philandering sociopaths, their differences only superficial, and that disagrees with your heated binary thinking, so you dismiss it. You don’t seem to care at all about Obama’s policies, good or bad. You just like to blindly, viciously root for your team. Its representative of everything wrong with politics.
I don’t blame you, its human nature, to want to pick a side and get enthusiastic about it while hating on the other side for arbitrary reasons. I’m a Buffalo Bills fan, but I’m also the first to criticize the management and leadership of that team. Why didn’t they go for the 2 point conversion last Sunday?! They could’ve had that game!!!
