Being Whispered To Death

This trailer for Terrence Malick‘s To The Wonder isn’t too bad. It’s actually quite beautiful. And it does expertly convey what the film, which has many transporting passages, plays and feels like. You just have to imagine watching this kind of thing for 112 minutes with very little dialogue and a lot of whispering that you can’t understand and starting to feel your soul pour out of you like sand.

    Looking forward to it. I am pretty sure that if you go into this one and aren’t expecting something more in lines with moving poetry, you have nobody to blame but yourself.

    Indeed a beautiful trailer – particularly the first 30 seconds with the Wagner piece has me floored… Two months to go for it to open theatrically here, and in June StudioCanal is supposed to release the UK Blu-ray – sweet.

    Looks like the Malick I hate. He can never top the Pitt scenes in TOL

      Pitt truly is amazing in Tree of Life. All his lines are great, performance is great. Don’t think Pitt will top it either.

        If TOL was basically just Pitt and the family, it would have been my fave from 2011. He really was commanding and deserved supporting actor.
