I Confess

Marina Zenovich‘s Roman Polanski: Odd Man Out will be available on iTunes on 3.26. Zenovich had planned to interview Polanski about how Roman Polanski: Wanted and Desired had reopened the case, but Polanski was arrested in Zurich two months before their appointment. Odd Man Out, which I saw last September, explores the Swiss incarceration and legal wrangling that happened in ’09 and ’10. It also touches on Zenovich’s guilt over having possibly prompted the Los Angeles DA to seek Polanksi’s extradition in the first place.

Jeff Wells, you win…several years ago I was on the anti-Polanski bandwagon and felt that he should be brought to justice and imprisoned. Finally after delving into the story, the political machinations, and the victim’s stance on tPolanski I agree that it’s time to move on. Let him come to America, serve his probation of the original plea deal and everyone move on with their lives. He will always have this stigma on his name. I hope the documentary is as insightful as the previous ones were….

Jeff Wells, please, learn to spell, especially since you’re talking about a director you actually like. The ending for many Polish surnames is SKI, not KSI. Like “ski”, that winter accessory. Get it? And for the DoP you don’t like or like to denigrate, it’s KAMINSKI, not Kamsinski.

Wow, you can tell how many former regulars are gone: a new thread about the kiddie sodomite and only TWO replies. Oh well, back to browsing reddit…

So HBO has chosen to defend Roman Polanski and Phil Spector now, it seems. Who’s next? Tim McVeigh?
